As I've said before, I have a core belief that the versions of powers printed in books (regardless of system) should not be the only way to achieve the listed effects. In this case, you have an ability that makes vastly more sense with one group (Gangrel, who live deeply in the wilds eschewing civilization) than it does the group that has it (Ordo Dracul). By adding a Devotion to the mix which allows advanced (read; elder) Gangrel to break the same rules that the Ordo does (albeit at a steeper cost) you add more mystery to the game; which came first? Did the Ordo steal the idea from an ancient Gangrel? Is that high Blood Potency Gangrel able to drink animal Vitae because they've learned Coils or because Gangrel have that nature mojo?
